A wife, a mom, and a coach.
I was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa and at the age of 18, I became a spinning instructor, however, with being an instructor I started becoming obsessed with how I looked on the bike, my weight, crash dieting, overtraining, and binge eating, which I have struggled to shake for many years. After a few years of declining fitness and health,
I took a long, hard look at my life and my body and did not like what I saw!
Slowly, I started to heal from the many years of abuse I’d done to myself, during this time I also rediscovered my love of running and fitness and began working out consistently, even during my pregnancy.
After falling pregnant with my beautiful baby girl, I started looking for a new challenge... So, I signed up for my first 70.3 Ironman — why? I honestly can’t remember. But the universe had its own plans. 10 weeks before my first race, I was hospitalised with a DVT. I was lucky (the doctor kept telling me), but my training came to a halt.
I started from scratch, determined to try again the following year…
but then COVID hit, and life threw more personal challenges my way. The dream was delayed once more.
But if you know me, you know I don’t give up. In 2021, I was ready to try again—until my world changed forever. Losing my mom, my best friend and biggest supporter, left me broken. Training took a back seat, but eventually... the fire reignited, and I signed up again.
During this time, I found inspiration in one of my passions, and I decided to turn my experiences into something meaningful - studying both life coaching and personal training so I could help others overcome their challenges.
Since then I have crossed the finish line of Race to the Sun (a 100-mile MTB race), I have run down that red carpet at 70.3 Ironman - Durban and completed Sani2c a three-day, 270-kilometre mountain bike stage race.
This journey taught me resilience, discipline, and the power of never giving up. I am now taking that passion and experience to help others. I’m officially stepping into my role as a personal trainer because I know what it’s like to start over, to face setbacks, and to keep pushing forward. Whether you're looking to start your fitness journey or chasing a goal that seems just out of reach, I’m here to help you make it happen.
Let’s do this together. 💪
